Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of Deskstar, provided by Galactic Labs Limited ("Deskstar", "we"). By creating a workspace or using the Service you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the organisation you represent. If you don't agree, don't use the Service.

The Service

Deskstar is a customer support platform that turns messages from connected channels into tracked dockets. The Service is currently in alpha: features change, and it may contain defects or interruptions.

Accounts and workspaces

• You must be able to form a binding contract and provide accurate details.
• You're responsible for activity under your account and for keeping credentials secure.
• A workspace owner is responsible for the people they invite and the roles they assign.

Plans, trials and billing

• Paid plans are billed per seat, monthly, through our billing provider. Prices are shown on our website.
• Trials convert to a paid plan unless cancelled before they end.
• Seat changes are prorated. You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.
• AI credits are included per plan each month; usage beyond that is billed at the rates shown.
• Fees are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise.

Connected channels

You may connect channels (Slack, Telegram, email, WhatsApp, Instagram and others) only where you're authorised to do so, and you remain bound by each platform's own terms. For Meta channels this includes the WhatsApp Business Terms, the WhatsApp Business Messaging Policy and Meta's Platform Terms. You are responsible for having a lawful basis and any required consent to message your customers, and for complying with messaging windows and template rules. Platforms may change or restrict access, and we're not liable for that.

Your data

You own the content you and your customers send through the Service. You give us permission to host, process and transmit it as needed to run the Service for you. As between you and us, you are the controller of your customers' personal data and we act as your processor; see our Privacy Policy. You can export or delete your data, and we delete it after your workspace closes as described there.

Acceptable use

You won't:

• use the Service unlawfully, or to send spam, harassment, or content that infringes rights;
• attempt to break, overload or gain unauthorised access to the Service or other workspaces;
• reverse engineer the Service, or resell it without our written permission;
• use it to process data you have no right to process, or in breach of a connected platform's rules.

We may suspend accounts that put the Service or other customers at risk.

AI features

AI features generate suggestions, groupings and summaries that can be wrong. You are responsible for reviewing outputs before relying on them.

Our property

Deskstar and its software, branding and documentation belong to us. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the Service under these terms. If you send us feedback, we may use it without obligation.

Availability and support

We aim to keep the Service running but don't guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation during alpha. We'll give reasonable notice of planned downtime where we can.

Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind to the extent the law allows. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits or lost data, and our total liability for any claim is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before it arose. Nothing here limits liability that can't be limited by law.

Termination

You may stop using the Service and close your workspace at any time. We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these terms or non-payment, with notice where reasonable. Sections that by their nature should survive will do so.

Changes

We may update these terms; we'll post the new version here and notify workspace owners of material changes. Continued use after the effective date means you accept them.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, and its courts have jurisdiction.
